Ivan Ruzhentsov was born in 1985 in Tula (Russia). He began his piano studies at the age of six.
In 2000 ivan moved to Moscow where he studied at the Music College under N. Suslova. 2004-2009 - graduated the Moscow State Conservatory under professor Mikhail Voskresensky. From 2009 - master studies at the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg" (Germany) under professor Marian Migdal.
From 2012 - at the Anton Rubinstein Academy (Düsseldorf) under professor Dina Yoffe.
In 2009 he has won the 1st prize at "Scriabin-Competition" in Paris, in 2010 - 1st prize of the "Elise Meyer-Competition" (Hamburg), in 2011 - 3rd prize of the "Schnittke-Competition" (Hamburg).
Ivan Ruzhentsov holds the scholarships from Russians Ministry of Culture, „Russian Performing Art“ Foundation „Oscar and Vera Ritter“ Foundation and Alfred Toepfer Foundation. In 2009 Mr. Ruzhentsov recorded the piano sonata op.3 of Lev Oborin (world-premiere recording).
He played in master class of A. Schiff, R. Gothony, A. Lubimov etc.
Ivan Ruzhentsov is now artist of Vayman Art foundation.
