16-year-old Nikki is an Iranian American born in Dallas, Texas in 2001.
She started violin lessons at the age of 4 and studies the violin with Mrs. Nicolette Solomon-van Wyk. In the Summer of 2011, she had the honor of playing at the Basically Beethoven Festival Rising Star recital at age 10.
She won first place in the Dallas Symphonic Festival Elementary II Concerto competition in 2012, second place in the Collin County Young Artist Competition Junior division in 2015, and received honorable mention in the senior division in 2016. She won 3rd place in 2017 in both Dallas symphonic festival senior concerto division and Collin County Young artist competition.
She also won honorable mention in the Juanita Miller Competition, the Dallas Symphonic Festival Concerto Competition and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition in 2016 as well as Texas MTNA junior division in 2013 and 2015. As well as solo work she was selected as assistant concertmaster in the Texas All-State Symphony orchestra in 2016 and the concert master in 2017.
Nikki played with the Vanic Piano Trio, winning first place in the Junior division of Coleman Chamber Music Competition in 2014. In 2012 Nikki was a member of the Suzuki Youth Orchestra of the Americas and in 2014 she was a member of the Suzuki Young Artist String Ensemble in Minneapolis.
Nikki is also a member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. Aside from playing violin, Nikki enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures and food and spending time with her friends and family.
She is planning to pursue music and business in future.
